Dad and mom ran a lodge in Tucson. Hundreds of hippies walked in — off drugs, off Vietnam, off everything. They were allowed to bring their drugs in. They were allowed to bring all their pain in. Then somebody pulled out a guitar. And in the presence of Jesus, things started to radically change.

Some of those hippies became pastors. Some got married, started families, planted churches. They were all just talking about Jesus.

Acts 8 tells the story of a church scattered by persecution — and a man named Philip who simply arose and went. One chariot. One conversation. One question: "Do you understand what you're reading?" All of Africa was about to hear the gospel.

This is a sermon about the main thing. Not your comfort. Not your marriage. Not your career. Not your healing. The main thing — what Jesus actually wants you doing with your life.

"The main things are the plain things, and the plain things are the main things."

Go. And tell.
